My Go To Photography Equipment: Camera, Lenses and Accessories!

Deciding on your perfect camera can be a little tricky. There are so many different options to chose from. Canon? Nikon? Sony? Olympus? In this post, I...
will be discussing the gearIi use and why I like it!

My main camera body I use in the Nikon D610. This camera features a 24.3 megapixel sensor. It uses an FX sensor which you can buy and use any Nikon FX supported lenses. This camera has two SD card slots which are great for alway having space to shoot photos and videos. It has a fast 6 frames per second for continuous shooting which is good for action and sports photography. It has a great ISO range. Starting at ISO 100 and up to ISO 6400. The ISO can also be expanded to 25,000. This camera is pretty good at recording video. One thing I wish it would do is slow motion. It can only do 60 frames per second at 1280x720.

I use 3 lenses with my Nikon body. I have the 24-85mm, 50mm, and the 105mm.
My 24-85mm and 50mm are from Nikon, while my 105mm is from Sigma. I like to use my 24-85mm mainly for architecture and landscape photos. It has a wide angle to capture a lot in the frame. It lowest aperture is 3.5 so it's not great for portraits with a lot of bokeh in it.

My 50mm is one of my favourite lenses. I use it for almost everything. It's great for portraits because of its low 1.8 aperture. It's amazing in low light and creates beautiful bokeh when used at 1.8. When focus correctly is is incredibly sharp. One this is it has a pretty far focusing distance so you have to be quite far away from your subject in order for the lens to focus.

My newest lens is the Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro lens. I LOVE this lens! It is super sharp. It amazing for photos of jewelry, flowers, eyes. It is a macro lens and it has 1:1 reproduction rate so the image appearing in the sensor is actual size. You can get incredibly close to your subject and have great depth of field. I used it a lot in school for my product photography and portraits.
